Ralegan Siddhi: Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare on Wednesday strongly condemned the attack on his team member Prashant Bhushan inside his Supreme Court chamber.
He said that it was not correct to take law in hands and resort to violence.
The veteran Gandhian pointed that there were other ways to voice differences and that the attackers should have resorted to legal means if they had a problem with what the senior lawyer said.
Referring to the attackers, who were in their youth, Hazare said that they had hopes from the youth of the country as they felt they would handle it, but if they took law in their own hands, it was unfortunate.
He further said that resorting to such means was not a part of the culture and the tradition of the country.
When asked about the reason that led to the incident, Hazare said that he would ask Bhushan about the exact reason of the violence, adding that he could not get in touch with his other team member, Arvind Kejriwal.
