Shankar to make Indian sequel

Music Director A.R.Rahman (L) and Director Shankar

With activist Anna Hazare making the fight against corruption one of the hottest topics of debate, ace filmmaker Shankar is planning a sequel to his hit movie Indian.

Kamal Haasan had played the roles of both father and son in the film that was a huge hit across India.

A.R. Rahman, who produced the first version, is likely to pitch in for the sequel as well, the grape vine says. Though Kamal Haasan was outstanding in Indian and even won a National Award for his role, this time around Shankar has a different actor in mind.

In all likelihood, Ajith could be the pick of the top filmmaker this time.
