Protests in Bihar continue

Patna, Aug 23  Activists of Bihar unit of 'India Against Corruption' (IAC) today held demonstrations, observed fast and silence at different places in the state in support of the movement launched by Anna Hazare against corruption. Lawyers uder the banner of Bihar Income Tax Bar Association and activists of the IAC held demonstration and observed day-long fast near the main gate of Patna High Court, State IAC Convenor Sanjay Kumar Dutta claimed. Similar protests were reported from different places in the state, he said. IAC activists held fast, staged sit-ins, took out processions and carried out signature campaigns in solidarity with the Dharna and fast observed by Anna Harare at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. He claimed that the IAC activists continued their mass contact programme to get popular support for Hazare's movement. "IAC activists are visiting every village and town in the state as part of the wider campaign to express solidarity with Hazare's movement against corruption," he added.
