Anna Hazare's tirade will help BJP ally win in Hissar

Anna Hazare's anti-Congress statement will only strengthen Kuldeep Bishnoi's chances of winning in Hissar. Bishnoi, deceased former Haryana CM Bhajan Lal's son, is contesting the by-poll on the Haryana Janhit Congress ticket in alliance with the BJP. Sources said the Congress - which has fielded threetime MP Jai Prakash from Hissar - is already on a weak footing because of infighting.

Prior to the announcement of the ticket for Jai, senior Congress leader Birender Singh had lobbied for a ticket for his son.

The Hissar seat had fallen vacant after Lal's death in June. According to sources, Kuldeep has been trying to woo voters to carry forward his father's legacy and is riding the sympathy wave. He has been looking after his father's assembly constituency Adampur and enjoys a good rapport with the electorate since he did well in the earlier elections.

Reports from Hissar revealed that Hazare's anti-Congress stand will become another cause for its defeat.
