PM trusted me to handle Team Anna: Deshmukh

New Delhi: Anna Hazare's fast may be over, but he said that the fight will continue and he will push for electoral reforms and the right to recall next. Reacting to Hazare's mission, Congress leader Vilasrao Deshmukh agreed with Law Minister Salman Khurshid's view that there was an error of judgement and there is a need to introspect what went really wrong.

"Of course (there was) error of judgment," said Vilasrao Deshmukh.

"I think on Sunday Salman Khurshid has rightly expressed on this particular issue and I totally endorse his views. So I don't have to add anything more," said Deshmukh.

The former Maharashtra chief minister has also said that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh rightly asked him to mediate at an appropriate time.

"Timing is very important. The Prime Minister has used each of his colleagues at right point of time. And I personally feel that he showed trust in me at appropriate time and that has resulted in a positive manner," said Deshmukh.

On Sunday, minutes after ending his fast, anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare declared that electoral reforms will be on top of his agenda next so that corruption can come down. "I have only deferred my fast, not given it up. Only when these reforms are complete will I really end my fast. I will not rest until all the changes that I look to are achieved," he said to thunderous applause from thousands of his supporters waving the Tricolour and shouting slogans like 'Anna Hazare Zindabad'.

Hazare broke his 13-days long fast on Sunday morning after Parliament adopted the Sense of the House resolution on the three key demands made by him.
