A 26-year-old advocate from Kerala is among thousands of supporters of Anna Hazare, who has put his practice on an indefinite hold as he camps at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, watching his mentor's every move. Holding the Tricolour, Bijay Harrylal, finds time for small meals while distributing hand-written pamphlets to explain Team Anna's version of the Lokpal Bill, sleeping in a tent only after confirming that Anna has gone to bed.
“This is just the beginning of the biggest social movement that this country has ever seen,” said the Kochi resident.
Harrylal chooses a relatively quiet corner of the sprawling protest venue to make copies of his hand-written pamphlet using carbon papers. Harrylal joined Anna's campaign when he was fasting at Jantar Mantar in early April. “I know how the system works and also the fear that the common man has while approaching the most junior government employee to avail his/her right, he said.
