Bhartiya Janta Party, which is leaving no stone unturned to extract political mileage out of Anna Hazare's protest against corruption , on Sunday launched 'Wipe corruption to save Democracy' campaign.
Launching the campaign in Himachal Pradesh ,Shyam Jaju ji, All India BJP Secretary said that the party will organise rallies, marches, hall meetings and demonstrations throughout the week to reach people on corruption issue and to tell party's initiatives to punch holes in UPA's defence against the corruption charges on its ministers and Delhi government.
"BJP forced the Congress to agree to a JPC on 2G Spectrum scam. Protests were organised in Delhi to expose Sheila Dixit," Shyam Jaju Ji said.
Mr Jaju who refused to comment on the points of Lokpal Bill on which the party differs from the bill prepared by Civil Society members.He said that the party will speak on the bill in the Parliament.
Shyam Jaju Ji said as Anna Hazare wanted his protest to be a non political affair , BJP did not support him directly.
All India BJP Secretary , reacting to a question ridiculed Union Minister Virbhadra Singh who had said that Anna Hazare's movement is limited to urban India only.
"Anna movement is more prevalent in rural India than urban India. We are seeing what television channels are showing to us. You go to rural areas , Anna's village in particular where people have stopped cooking food," Shyam Jaju Ji said.
