Anna Hazare will not be able to attend the public meeting in the city on May 3 due to physical ailments. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Saturday, peasant leader Akhil Gogoi said he was informed by Anna's close associates, Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal, that the veteran social activist could not visit Assam owing to poor health condition. The KMSS leader said Anna's meeting has been postponed to May 20.
"I was informed by Arvind and Manish that Anna will not be able to come to Guwahati due to his poor health. The meeting has been postponed to May 20," said Akhil. In an e-mail message, Arvind and Manish said "Anna has been keeping bad health for sometime now". Due to osteoporosis the Hazare was admitted to a hospital for four days.
